Founded in 1943, ReSound is a Danish manufacturer of hearing aids. ReSound is committed to developing hearing solutions to help people rediscover hearing so they can live rich, active, and fulfilling lives. Represented in 80 countries, ReSound conducts research worldwide to create technology that is applicable to real life situations. Their work has led them to several industry firsts, features such as Wide Dynamic Range Compression (WDRC) and Digital Feedback Suppression (DFS). ReSound was the first to develop an open-standard digital chip, which gives wearers a natural listening experience.

LiNX2: Made for iPhone

Improving upon the first generation LiNX, the LiNX2 is equipped with an updated processing platform and new features. Surround Sound, New Binaural Directionality II, and Spatial Sense all support the brain’s natural ability to process sound, recognize speech, and help situate wearers within their surroundings by simulating normal binaural hearing. With WDRC and DFS, wearers have a clearer picture of sound, without the distractions of feedback buzzing and whistling.
As a Made for iPhone hearing aid, the LiNX2 opens up accessibility for wearers. By connecting to the iPhone (as well as other personal electronic devices), wearers are able to stream phone calls, FaceTime, music, and media directly from their devices to their hearing aids, with clear sound quality. With a geo-tagging feature, the LiNX2 utilizes GPS from the iPhone to memorize locations and automatically re-adjusting to wearer preferences as they return to those places. As a result, wearers have a seamless listening experience.

Connecting to the iPhone also gives wearers an extra boost when faced with particularly challenging sound environments. The Live Listen feature turns the iPhone microphone into an assistive listening device. LiNX2 wearers simply place the iPhone near the sound source they wish to amplify and the iPhone streams the sounds directly to the LiNX2.

Designed for wearers with higher degrees of hearing loss, the ENZO2 is a powerful hearing aid that also connects wirelessly to smartphones and personal electronic devices through the Smart App. Through this app, wearers are able to make adjustments to program features and volume on their phones. The ENZO2 provides wearers with an advanced version of Surround Sound, which amplifies sound and eliminates background noise. Additionally, the ENZO2 is equipped with the following excellent features: speech focus to help with speech recognition, comfort in noise, comfort in wind, and feedback cancellation.

Styles and Features

Both the ENZO 2 and the LiNX2 are available in different wearing styles. The LiNX2 may be worn as invisible-in-canal, in-the-ear, receiver-in-canal, and behind-the-ear, while the ENZO2 is available as a behind-the-ear hearing aid. Through the ReSound Smart App, both devices allow wearers to control the sounds they want to hear. ReSound hearing aids are covered in iSolate nanotech coating, which makes them resilient to the elements, as well as water, dust, and debris. Additionally, ReSound offers a series of assistive listening devices to give wearers a boost. The TV streamer connects ReSound hearing aids to home entertainment systems, streaming shows and movies directly to the ears, while the Phone Clip and Remote Control give wearers accessibility and connectivity with other devices.
Phonak also offers a hearing aid designed specifically for one-sided deafness, the CROS II. This hearing aid collaborates with the hearing ear with a microphone that picks up sounds and voices from the non-hearing ear, and balances audio data for a fuller spectrum of sound. For children with single-sided deafness, Phonak offers the Roger hearing aid. Also for children and teens, Phonak offers a line of pediatric hearing aids called SkyQ. These treat a range of hearing loss and are designed to withstand the active lives of young people.
