He has a great passion for helping the hard of hearing and it shows. Keith has many patients that have been working with him for 20+ years.

Because of multiple trainings from various hearing aid manufacturers, Keith has a talent for troubleshooting and repairs on all makes of hearing aids. Keith is now co-owner and co-president of Puget Sound Hearing Aid & Audiology. In his leisure time, he enjoys spending time with his family, golfing, traveling, and playing drums in a local cover band.

Dr. Patty Petermann became an employee of Puget Sound Hearing Aid & Audiology in 1989 and an owner in 1996. She earned a Bachelor’s degree in Speech and Hearing Sciences from Bradley University in Illinois, a Master’s degree in Audiology from the University of Hawaii, and a Doctorate degree in Audiology from A.T. Still University.

Although most of her career has been spent in private practice, she has also worked in an ENT setting as well as for a major hearing aid manufacturer. In addition, she wrote the curriculum and provided instruction for the very first college-level hearing aid dispenser training program in the United States.

Dr. Petermann draws on her extensive education and experience to maintain the highest standards and skill sets for the providers at Puget Sound Hearing Aid & Audiology. She enjoys mentoring her employees and helping them to be the best in their field. In her limited spare time, she enjoys family, baking, reading, and traveling.

Dr. Mary Silva is our Director of Audiology and has been a provider with our company for 12 years. She is passionate about helping her patients hear the very best they can. Dr. Silva earned her Bachelor’s degree in Communication Sciences and Disorders from Western Washington University in 2003.

She then went on to earn her Master’s degree in Speech and Hearing Sciences at Washington State University in 2006. From there, she went on to earn her professional Doctorate in Audiology from Salus University in Pennsylvania in 2009.

She is certified by the American Board of Audiology and believes strongly that the best way to treat hearing loss is by following best practices, which utilizes the latest science available to offer superior results.

By following the latest science and technology available, she helps her patients remain on the cutting edge of the absolute best the hearing industry and the science of audiology has to offer.

Dr. Ofir-Talmon is intrigued by the connection between technology, physiology and the social-emotional aspects of rehabilitation and communication. Dr. Ofir-Talmon’s goal and passion as an audiologist is to improve her patients’ quality of life by restoring speech audibility and communication abilities. She achieves this by utilizing current evidence-based technologies and counseling techniques.  

Dr. Ofir-Talmon became a certified audiologist in Israel in 2008, when she completed her clinical Bachelor’s degree in audiology through the University of Haifa. After several years in the field, she then went on to complete her Masters degree in Audiology in 2013. Upon receiving her state health license in Israel in 2008, Dr. Ofir-Talmon chose to specialize in hearing diagnosis and rehabilitation through fitting hearing aids for both adults and children. Dr. Ofir-Talmon arrived at the Seattle area in late 2015, and devoted 3 years of her career to preventing noise-induced hearing-loss in industry. She then proceeded to complete the post-professional Doctor of Audiology program through A.T. Still University of Health Sciences. She periodically attends continuing education activities, to ensure that she is always up-to-date with the most recent research, clinical and technological advancements. She finds this to be an essential part of being able to provide her patients with the best evidence-based standard-of-care. 

Dr. Ofir-Talmon is a mother of three. Outside of work, she enjoys spending quality time with her family and pets, doing yoga, reading books, spending time outdoors and connecting with nature.

Dr. Tiffany Mitchell, born and raised in Seattle, is passionate about patient-focused care. Although her family largely graduated from Washington State University, she earned her doctorate and bachelor degrees from the University of Washington.

As a student she worked with audiology outreach for local, national, and international programs, supported two UW Speech and Hearing research labs, and provided guest lectures for multiple undergraduate courses. She completed her training at VA Puget Sound Healthcare Systems primarily working with hearing aids, cochlear implants, balance assessments, and tinnitus counseling.

She has over 20 years of experience in audio engineering for live events, including the design and implementation of sound systems for nonprofit and corporate events. Her experiences have given her a unique appreciation for speech and room acoustics as well as how we perceive sound. Dr. Mitchell believes that a foundation based in evidence-based practices coupled with honoring each patient’s listening and lifestyle goals is fundamental to patient care. She is associated with the American Academy of Audiology and the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association.

In her free time she enjoys learning and creating new things. She can often be found reading, sewing, woodworking, and cooking.

As an Audiologist she loves working with all walks of life from pediatrics to adults. Dr. Sims is experienced in fitting all major hearing brands and understands how important hearing and communication are and is devoted to achieving the best communication with and for her patients. 

Dr. Sims is a retired collegiate softball pitcher and enjoys a good sporting event. She is always on an adventure with her family and loves camping and the outdoors, if you have any suggestions for new hikes or campgrounds, let her know!

Dr. Jackson has a passion for helping adults and geriatric patients utilize technology to achieve their best possible hearing. He previously worked at Chik-Fil-A where he learned how to serve others with excellence. Dr. Jackson also enjoys mixing live music at a loudness level that is safe for all to listen. His schooling and appreciation for music has taught Dr. Jackson how important hearing is and the improvement that fine-tuned hearing aids can make for those with hearing loss.

Linda enjoys private practice due to the level of professional–patient relationships that can be provided. Her passion has always been to help improve people’s lives the best that she can. Making their lives better gives her a sense of happiness.

The greatest gift she gets to see is watching loved ones connect with each other without the stress of not being able to hear what was said. To be able to see someone that had been isolated in their lives, become active again. This is what drives her to share with anyone the reason why hearing correctly is so important.

Soon after graduation, she worked as a research study assistant on a project exploring speech therapies for individuals with a communication disorder, kindling her desire to help people improve their quality of life through communication.   

She transitioned from speech to hearing care in 2018 when she joined Puget Sound Hearing Aid & Audiology and completed Washington Hearing Society’s hearing aid specialist training program. Kerry has witnessed how vital hearing can be in connecting people to their loved ones, and considers it a privilege to be able to help individuals improve their quality of life by helping them navigate their way to better hearing.

She earned double bachelor degrees in Psychology and Speech, Language and Hearing Sciences then received her Associate’s degree in Hearing Instrument Specialist from Spokane Fall Community College.

Prior to joining Puget Sound Hearing Aid & Audiology, Mara worked in a private practice in Spokane Valley as a patient care coordinator. While at the clinic in Spokane, she had a wonderful opportunity to enter into an internship and gather experience in hearing evaluation, hearing aid dispensing, and counseling.

Mara enjoys leading patients through the process to improve their daily listening interactions and communication. Outside of work Mara is a happy homebody who enjoys reading and cooking family recipes.

He has poster presentations on tinnitus management that were accepted for national conferences by both the American Academy of Audiology (AAA) and the American Speech-Language and Hearing Association (ASHA). Taylor speaks both English and Spanish fluently. Taylor grew up in South Florida and has lived in Spain and Germany as a young adult.

Taylor first became interested in the field of audiology when his father, a disabled US Army veteran, received his first pair of hearing aids. This life-changing event inspired Taylor to pursue a fulfilling career in audiology to help people who struggle with hearing difficulties and tinnitus improve their overall quality of life.

Taylor strives to make a positive impact on people’s lives by providing them with the gold standard of care to his patients. He is a member of the Audiology Practice Standards Organization (APSO), an audiologist run organization that has set forth standards of practice for professionals in the field of audiology. Taylor is also interested in pursuing a roll in advocacy work at the state and national level to ensure patients receive the best care possible.

In his free time, Taylor enjoys spending time with his kitten. He is an avid knitter who adores spending time in the numerous yarn shops throughout the greater Seattle area.
