Keith Wilson has been helping people hear better since 1994 after completing the Bates Technical College hearing aid technology program, and started working with Puget Sound Hearing Aid & Audiology in 1996. He has a great passion for helping the hard of hearing and it shows. Keith has many patients that have been working with him for 20+ years.

Because of multiple trainings from various hearing aid manufacturers, Keith has a talent for troubleshooting and repairs on all makes of hearing aids. Keith is now co-owner and co-president of Puget Sound Hearing Aid & Audiology. In his leisure time, he enjoys spending time with his family, golfing, traveling, and playing drums in a local cover band.

Dr. Patty Petermann became an employee of Puget Sound Hearing Aid & Audiology in 1989 and an owner in 1996. She earned a Bachelor’s degree in Speech and Hearing Sciences from Bradley University in Illinois, a Master’s degree in Audiology from the University of Hawaii, and a Doctorate degree in Audiology from A.T. Still University.

Although most of her career has been spent in private practice, she has also worked in an ENT setting as well as for a major hearing aid manufacturer. In addition, she wrote the curriculum and provided instruction for the very first college-level hearing aid dispenser training program in the United States.

Dr. Petermann draws on her extensive education and experience to maintain the highest standards and skill sets for the providers at Puget Sound Hearing Aid & Audiology. She enjoys mentoring her employees and helping them to be the best in their field. In her limited spare time, she enjoys family, baking, reading, and traveling.

Dr. Mary Silva is our Director of Audiology and has been a provider with our company for 12 years. She is passionate about helping her patients hear the very best they can. Dr. Silva earned her Bachelor’s degree in Communication Sciences and Disorders from Western Washington University in 2003 and then went on to earn her Master’s degree in Speech and Hearing Sciences at Washington State University in 2006.

From there, she went on to earn her professional Doctorate in Audiology from Salus University in Pennsylvania in 2009. She is certified by the American Board of Audiology and believes strongly that the best way to treat hearing loss is by following best practices, which utilizes the latest science available to offer superior results. By following the latest science and technology available, she helps her patients remain on the cutting edge of the absolute best the hearing industry and the science of audiology has to offer.

Dr. Indu Roy is a clinical audiologist at Puget Sound Hearing Aid & Audiology. She offers audiological evaluations and provides personalized treatment recommendations to her patients. She has considerable experience in hearing aid fitting for adults and geriatrics and is driven to achieve exceptional patient outcomes.

Dr. Roy has done her B.Sc. in Speech and Hearing science and M.Sc. in Audiology from India. Prior to working at Puget Sound Hearing Aid & Audiology, she worked extensively as a clinical audiologist in Singapore and India. After moving to the US, she earned her Doctorate degree in Audiology from University of Florida.

As an audiologist, she enjoys interacting with people from various walks of life while the greater Seattle area is an amalgamation of different cultures, which makes these interactions even more interesting.

Apart from her professional engagement, Dr. Roy loves traveling and hiking. She wants to pursue mountaineering and aspires to climb all the 10,000 feet+ stratovolcanoes in the Pacific Northwest someday.

She is a member of the Washington State Academy of Audiology and a fellow member of the American Academy of Audiology. Dr. Scott has experience and training with all major brands of hearing aids and is passionate about helping patients improve their hearing.

Dr. Szabo has worked as a student clinician in various settings, including rotations at Montclair State University, St. Joseph’s Pediatric Hospital, Associates in Otolaryngology, and the Hearing Group. Dr. Szabo completed her fourth year externship at NYU Langone Health working with both adult and pediatric patients. She has extensive training in audiological evaluations, hearing aid consultations, cochlear implants, central auditory processing disorders and vestibular testing.

Dr. Szabo joined Puget Sound Hearing aid and Audiology in 2019 and services patients in the Federal Way office. She enjoys working with patients of all ages and staying up to date in the latest technology and best practices. Dr. Szabo’s primary goal is to improve the quality of life of her patients through better hearing health care. In her spare time, Dr. Szabo has been exploring her new home in the PNW, enjoying the mountain views, hiking, fresh coffee, and delicious seafood.

Dr. Szabo is fully licensed by Washington State to practice Audiology and dispense hearing aids. She is certified by the American Speech-Language Hearing Association (ASHA), maintains her Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-A), and is a fellow of the American Academy of Audiology (AAA).

Her clinical specialties include diagnosis of hearing loss, treatment of hearing loss with hearing aids and cochlear implants, tinnitus treatment, and diagnosis and treatment of central auditory processing disorders. Dr. Sommers grew up in Minnesota and completed her Bachelor of Science in Communication Disorders in 2014 at Minnesota State University, Mankato. She then moved to Vermillion, South Dakota for the Doctor of Audiology program, graduating in May 2019. Before graduating, she completed a 12-month clinical externship at Arizona Hearing and Balance Center in Chandler, Arizona. She enjoys spending time outdoors, and is enjoying the mild temperatures here in Washington.

Dr. Friend is passionate in helping people hear better. In Kansas, she worked in early intervention side of audiology, helping families with infants and toddlers with hearing loss, both in getting established with local medical facilities and school resources and educating the benefit of early action with amplification. Her mother also wears hearing aids, so she has personal experience with how much hearing aids can help with quality of life.

Dr. Friend is a member of Washington State Academy of Audiology, and also maintains her Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-A) with American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA). She enjoys exploring outdoors in the beautiful PNW.

Prior to joining Puget Sound Hearing Aid & Audiology, Mara worked in a private practice in Spokane Valley as a patient care coordinator. While at the clinic in Spokane, she had a wonderful opportunity to enter into an internship and gather experience in hearing evaluation, hearing aid dispensing, and counseling. Mara enjoys leading patients through the process to improve their daily listening interactions and communication. Outside of work Mara is a happy homebody who enjoys reading and cooking family recipes.

Her passion has always been to help improve people’s lives the best that she can. Making their lives better gives her a sense of happiness. The greatest gift she gets to see is watching loved ones connect with each other without the stress of not being able to hear what was said. To be able to see someone that had been isolated in their lives, become active again. This is what drives her to share with anyone the reason why hearing correctly is so important.

Outside of the professional setting, Linda enjoys time with her family and grandchildren. She loves hiking, reading and horseback riding.

She understands the day-to-day struggles a person with hearing loss goes through and has compassion for patients who are dealing with this. She strives to give them back the quality of life that they and their families are longing for.

Deb entered this profession because she loves helping people and seeing the look on their faces when they hear things they haven’t heard in a long time. She feels truly rewarded when a patient says thanks for giving me back my spouse/life with happy tears and sometimes followed by BIG hugs!

Sophie developed a passion for the subject upon learning about her professor’s experiences with her adopted child whom had benefited from cochlear implants. Having been a vocalist and musician her whole life, Sophie enjoyed making connections between playing open mic nights and hearing science. Having lived overseas in Belgium for half her life, she also enjoyed learning about phonetics among different dialects and languages.

She began her training and education in the undergraduate program at Western Washington University where she had a taste of what it could be like to change patient’s lives with better hearing care solutions and new technology. Upon finishing her clinical shadowing she graduated and joined Puget Sound Hearing Aid & Audiology’s dedicated team.

Since then she has learned a tremendous amount and gained hands-on experience working under Dr. William Blunk and attending company trainings. Within these trainings, Sophie has learned about the importance and improvement in hearing technology in numerous listening environments, how to create a safer, better patient experience, and providing excellent patient care.
